Our Beach Clean Up Drive in collaboration with Deutsche bank

On April 27th, 2024, the picturesque Dadar Beach in Mumbai witnessed a heartwarming display of environmental responsibility. A joint initiative by the Nishant Charitable Trust and Deutsche Bank brought together a dedicated team of volunteers for a beach clean-up drive.

The initiative aimed to tackle the pressing issue of pollution and waste management that plagues our beautiful coastlines. With a focus on marine ecosystem preservation, volunteers embarked on a mission to clean a significant 4-kilometer stretch of Dadar Beach.

Collaboration for a Cleaner Future

The partnership between Nishant Charitable Trust and Deutsche Bank proved to be a powerful force for positive change. Armed with gloves, masks, and a collective spirit, the volunteers worked tirelessly to collect a staggering 405 kilograms of waste.

Following the clean-up, a waste analysis revealed valuable insights. Plastic emerged as the primary culprit, accounting for a significant 62% of the collected waste. Cloth, paper, rubber, glass, and even a small amount of metal and organic waste made up the remaining portion.

This beach clean-up drive transcended the act of collecting waste. It served as a powerful platform to raise awareness about the environmental impact of pollution on our beaches and marine life.
